Anyone know anything about finding/customizing background music?

I'm looking for good background music for a vlog. Is there any website or app where I can find royalty-free music?

Also, what if I like a certain song or a drum-beat for a vlog, but I want to change the song in some way, make it faster, slower, etc.?

Do you guys ever have these issues where you want to make your own background music, or change some existing music?

    If you want to edit the music for free you can use audacity.
    If you don't mind to use free -RF music with a little term then get them from Youtube audio library.
    If you want to change any ready RF music into a new music of your own and want to sell it... then I don't recommend it!

      Many hundreds of cuts. I've sampled too many of them. Nothing there worth using for a professional product. In a word - crap!

    If you are happy to pay for a subscription service audioblocks is one service where you can access plenty of good royalty free material.

    It used to be a standalone audio platform but now is combined with the video components into one service where you can choose what level of use you want.

    If you are doing video also then it makes sense to trial them for a few months and see if you get the type of content you are looking for.

    There is no issue with modifying tempo or combining material with other footage recording etc. It is encouraged

    Another very good platform is https://audiojungle.net/ as well too theres a very wide selection there and all starting from $1 so very affordable if you would like to pick out some things you specifically want or just listen through to get inspired to find what you're looking for.

      Audio Jungle is now part of Envato. They were running a special which I took advantage of which was a $19 per month subscription for all of their assets - audio, video, themes, plugins, photos, training - you name it. You may want to check if that is still running.

    Is this something that will autoplay? If so, I suggest you re-think things. Many people immediately click off a site that autoplays audio or video. At the very least, split-test it to see what your bounce rate is with music playing automatically vs. without.

    Or, are you just looking for music to play in the background of each video people click on?
