Keep studying. "Internet marketing glossary" might be a good term for you to google. You know the level of understanding you have of IT? You need to get there with your understanding of IM. Right now you're at a "bounce the rock off the surface of the lake" level of understanding and head filled with visions of sugarplums.

Making money online is a skill and you will not make a million dollars, a thousand dollars, perhaps even a dollar. Ever.

You found some courses for sale? Wowee. Most are posted by people who are making money showing other people how to make money--but did they make any money before that? Probably not. Blind leading the blind. Be wary.

Study more. Pick something you feel good about. Realize the success will come from you, not the method or the tools or the shiny object.

On TV you have a platform and you get viewers. You run an infomercial and some of the regular channel viewers tune in and stay on. That's Traffic. Some buy from the infomercial. That's Conversion. Those are the two things necessary for any business.

In a newspaper you have a platform and you get viewers. You run an ad and some of the regular readers see your ad and actually read it. That's Traffic. Some follow the Call To Action in the ad and sign up or buy or enter the contest or do whatever you directed. That's Conversion. Those are the two things necessary for any business.

On a social media site you have a platform and you get viewers. You run a banner ad and some of the regular visitors see your ad and are attracted by its promise. That's Traffic. Some click through and go to a sales page or an opt-in page or survey page or something else you direct them to. That's Conversion. Those are the two things necessary for any business.

On an online forum you have a platform and you get viewers. You answer questions relevant to your expertise posted by real people and some of them appreciate it. Not only the original poster but other readers who have the same problem but are too scared to post the question themselves. That's Traffic. Some click your signature or message you. That's Conversion. Those are the two things necessary for any business.

On an affiliate network you have a platform with offers posted by product creators. You can see relevancy and popularity scores to determine what has been selling. You can sign up to be an affiliate for one of these proven offers, which has its own sales page (what is that? a Conversion tool. Taken care of.) You generate the Traffic and send it to the Conversion tool, possibly after a warm-up sequence of emails and videos from you. That's Traffic and Conversion. Those are the two things necessary for any business.

Hey Bruce,

The hardest thing to do is get started without knowing anything.

So if you are new, I would suggest two things.

1-Purchase a course ($50-$2000). A basic course will do you just fine.
2-You can search free info online. If you do this, try sticking with 1 or 2 people to follow. There are hundreds of ways to make money online and if you are trying to do what everyone is doing, you will get confused and go nowhere.

Systems can work. They are a one stop shop. However, the percentage of people making money is the same a someone who just purchased a course.

Why is this, because the same percentage of people are always the ones who make it work. It doesn't matter the path, only a small group will see it through.

There are many ways to get started making money online, but you really need to figure out a direction first. I know it can be overwhelming but really that's the starting point, figure out what you want to do, then drill down in that direction more.

Good analogy for you: when new to IT, did you think $$$ would flow to you quickly? Like I mean when you had zero IT skills? Of course not. Ditto for internet marketing buddy

Sit back, relax and spend hours daily using Google and Warrior to study the basics.

At its core, seasoned pros become highly skilled in creating helpful content and building meaningful connections with influential folks in their niche. Practicing for years sets the table for becoming super skilled in IM so begin learning, and be patient and generous with your practice.

Well it can works but i dont advise you sto spend a lot of money on courses wher probably a lot of information you can find it online if you do a proper research . Learn everyday and work hard and never give up ,you will face many blocks ,falls ,and many problems bu for those who never give succes wil come no matter what

There are too many things to learn in IM. Just choose one thing that you are interested in to get started. Most newbies will start with affiliate marketing where they are selling other people's product. You can either google or learn from buying a course if you have budget, but the most important thing is to take action and try out what you have learned.

If you are seeing ads on Social Media sites, these are usually paid ads. For example, you can buy ads on Facebook and your posts will be shown as Sponsored posts.

Internet Marketers use paid advertising on sites like Facebook, Google, YouTube, and Bing to drive traffic to their website. If you decide to do paid advertising, start out with a small budget, see what works, and when you start seeing positive results, scale from there.
