Hi Guys

I notice in many website search results bolded text and not just the keywords appear. Is this helpful in SEO? If the text is to be bolded, what text should be? how much text?

Thanks in advance

Costa

Bolding text to much is unprofessional, you should get better results by writing naturally. It may be more beneficial to focus on other aspects of SEO.

    Hello!
If you have index keyword for your website, Firstly you can find out them and write an article each keyword then can mention to highlight[Bold, Italic Or others fonts] your keyword on written.

Text bold not helpful for seo but just mention to highlight.

Must be keep to remember keyword density while you write any article.

  • Hi,

There is no technical SEO advantage for bolding the text. If you want to highlight your content title, keyword or important word, then go for it...

otherwise, avoid it... Since it can display your site look unprofessional.

Well, if I read the OP's question correctly, they were talking about bold words in search results, not what is on your pages. In particular, they referenced words that were bold in search results that were not contained in the search query. Putting things in bold on your pages has no effect on what appears bold in search results.

The answer is, regardless of whether or not it is helpful to SEO, you don't have absolute control over that. Google now bolds words that are closely related to the search query. If you do a search for your targeted keyword phrase and see words that are in bold in the results, you can use those words in your meta description and they will be bold, as well. That is, assuming Google decides to use your meta description and not one of their own.

It's not going to directly help you rank better but those bold words may lead to more clicks and that may lead to better rankings

You can make your text bold to get user attention only.

    Some of the techniques to get user attention are like;

Using #1 to define No. 1

    Using Bold & Capital text.
    Using Number in Title.
    And many other.

It does not have any advantage with SEO.

Thanks Guys.. I was curious as to why I see bold text. As it would seem it gives no advantage then I shall leave well alone. I haven't bolded text before so will not start nw

It doesn't help in SEO, but it may help your conversion rates or just improve your readers' experience.
