CV: What to write if no experience?

I think if you have knowledge of web designing then why you go to telemarketing. Web designing is the best option to make money.

A telemarketing job is one of the easiest jobs to get. They'll hire practically anyone and give them a shot. Tell them that your travels have really helped you understand a wide variety of people and the things that motivate them, that although you do not have extensive sales experience, your ability to relate to a diverse bunch of people would be a real asset.

So I have had four jobs created for me, ie. zero competition, company wasn't looking at hiring anybody until I showed up. Last time was an executive role with an Inc. Top 1000 (#521 that year) franchise business.

It's said in Think And Grow Rich and I took it to heart: Owner/Founders/Chief Executives will make room for anyone who comes to them with a clear plan to make them money.

OK so your "Lego pieces" to work with are not exactly the right ones to get you to be a "shoo-in" for a telemarketing role.

So you need to move the conversation to a different platform, ie. away from your traditional resume, so you can be perceived differently.

Stand Out is the first rule in marketing. And you are marketing now.

Most people think the resume gets them the job. This is untrue. All the resume does is get you the interview...and I've gotten interviews without a resume--the resume was an "after the fact, for the file" addition following me signing the employment contract. Think differently to get different results.

Thus your job is to Stand Out to potential employers, and get off the hamster wheel of blasting out a blizzard of resumes and hoping for callbacks.

You want the employers who value this kind of unusual approach: if they're traditional fuddie-duddies, you probably don't want to work for them anyway.

What I did was create content, and send it to the person who had the power to hire me.

CEOs, Owner/Founders, Presidents all have one thing no one else in the company has: the ability to re-allocate resources on a whim.

Everyone else has to go through committees, procedures, waiting time. But this person can act NOW, blasting through any roadblocks.

You don't need to go all the way as I did. You could use your resume as an infiltration unit...and provide the link and call to action to get the reader off the resume platform and over to where you want them to be.

In 2010, after moving to the US and being allowed to work, I created a simple google site (didn't know how cheap and easy your own hosting was to get back then lol.) That site still gets me calls from defense contractors.

I had my wife shoot a video, and a school friend of my sisters-in-law did the editing. Nowadays I could do all that stuff, but I'm saying this to show you how to be resourceful. The video went on the google site and sold the story.

What I'm saying is a simple 3 or 4 page website with some About You content talking about your Why...

...plus 2 or 3 interviews with industry professionals and a relevant book review or two will do wonders. You can get this done within a few days. If you want me to be an interviewee I'll be happy to appear. I know a thing or two about phone sales, as I've been teaching the subject since 2010.

SHOW THEM, don't just tell them, you're really interested in this field by using this method.

Use the top third of the first page of your resume to tell them why they should talk to you, and then send them to your site.

I bet you get a dream job with higher pay than you otherwise would. All you have to do is put in the fairly easy effort to create this marketing piece. It's not rocket science. But the employers who value initiative will make way for you...and hardly anyone bothers to go through this effort.

You have to be smart about where you send your resume, of course. I would avoid traditional, large firms that tend to use automated screening for key words on resumes (bleah, wouldn't want to work for them anyway.) And if you can connect with a founder on LinkedIn, even better.

You could save yourself years of effort by following this plan.

Write about traveling, Poker, Web Page Building anything you are really passionate about.

Just write your own experience in the last 10 years, traveling and playing poker and doing Web design / online marketing part time, and how you did them all very well to finance your travels (with real proof if possible, like photos or your blog/youtube channel).

And tell them why you want to get into sales and apply for those telemarketing jobs, and how your experience mentioned above related to that particular job. And tell them why they'll be sorry if they don't hire you with your unique experience like that.

Entry level telemarketing jobs usually have high turnover and are always looking to hire, no experience necessary. A lot of companies actually prefer candidates that DO NOT have prior sales experience because this makes them more trainable in their preferred methods instead of trying to break bad habits that may have been learned in previous positions. Being that you do not have experience in the field, you should use the experience that you do have in other fields, and try to highlight the soft skills that you have as well. Communication and Interpersonal skills are highly desirable and transferable skills that will help you succeed in the telemarketing field. Also, display your enthusiasm and willingness to learn new skills in your initial communications with the companies that you apply for and you should be able to land a few interviews in no time. CV BASICS
There is no particular way to write an efficient resume. Nonetheless, there are certain elements that cannot lack in any CV. For example, your bio data alongside your contact details. You also need to include your work experience, educational background, personal interest, and relevant skills for the particular job. Your achievements, leisure pursuit, and referees should also be in the resume. It's a good resume writing skill.
