Pardon me. Im new to affiliate marketing. Here goes.

Do i drive traffic BEFORE the launch date or ON launch day itself ( for a JVZoo product launch ) if Im not using any email lists? If I need to build up traffic to the launch site, will my cookie be valid for any sale made on launch day?

Thanks in advance warriors!

  • Hi ! Personally, I would drive traffic on the launch date itself and after, of course. But hey, nothing prevents you from doing it before your launch date.

To build / drive traffic before launch date is possible if you were to set up a teaser online campaign> This may require you to re-work on your content or ad liners that teases your target audience to arouse their curiosity and do an opt-in in the form of a squeeze page form and bring the traffic to a landing page that talks about your pre-launched copy (teaser copy). Their email addresses can be captured from your squeeze page if you were to put it as one of your opt-in fields. You can then reconnect with them via email upon the launch of your product/service.

A little more complicated if you choose to do a pre-launch thing but not impossible.

Thanks for the ideas. But my question is will my pre-lauch traffic be locked in for any sale that I make on launch date and after.

it all depends on what you are trying to achieve. If its to get sales on launch date and after. If you are trying to recruit affiliates then go pre launch, that way you have affiliates to rocket your product into the big wide world.

Not as a vendor but as an affiliate.

if they are offering a pre-launch and you have a referral url then they should get locked into you and you get the commission when it goes live.
