Thoughts on "Keyword Series: How to... etc" as Title strategy?

Hi everyone, just quickly - I am thinking of creating a whole series of posts something like:

Adobe Photoshop Series: How to Crop Images
Adobe Photoshop Series: How to Create a Gradient
etc

Where Adobe Photoshop is our main keyword. This would enable me to get a keyword into a lot of post titles.

Is this a good idea or not really?

You are asking if you can use a trademarked brand name to call attention to your own product/site - you'll need to research that to be safe.

That was just an example, I want to know if this is a good strategy regardless of the key phrases.

Yes this would be a good idea. think if you titled the post:

    How to Crop Images
    How to Create a Gradient
    etc

How would the Google let alone the user know exactly what the post was about.

The first and perhaps most important part of your SEO strategy is optimizing for the right keywords.
Keywords are so important that I consider them one of the keys to on-page SEO.
But to do this right, you need to understand what keywords are best for your blog articles.
You'll need to conduct some research before writing and use the results as the basis for your content.
It's also a good idea to keep track of what keywords you want to rank for. I recommend running SEO experiments all the time to make sure you're improving in the right areas.

      Hi MostCPA

are you saying that it's better to use the search engines own ideas of what keywords are connected, instead of creating relevant subposts that are not necessarily searched for much or at all?

Does that not quite limit the scope of topics for the subposts? What if you wanted to write about something that was relevant but brand new so people / search engines didn't know about it? I thought Google liked new and unique content?

Hi thanks for all the replies. Again, lots of answers but none answering my question

I am talking about basically using a mildly sneaky tactic to enable me to create a ton of blog posts all with one of our main keywords in the title. Yes, I could use 'How to Crop Images with Adobe Photoshop' etc.

Problem is where I might get posts such as 'Comparing Image Editors' or something where jamming 'Adobe Photoshop' in might not work well.

If I stick e.g. 'Adobe Photoshop Series:' at the beginning I can jam a lot of exact keywords into a lot of post titles.

Problem here might be too many identical keyphrases in too many titles, diluting the importance of each page with regard to that specific keyphrase - or there may be some other problem I'm not aware of.

Any pointers about this would be very appreciated thanks

If you're an Adobe Photoshop affiliate, then by all means have that in the title of your posts. If not, then just use the "how to crop images" etc. keywords in your title of your posts.

It is a good idea but also does check the search volume and Keyword difficulty ratio as some of your keywords are trade marked and getting ranked on those keyword is not that easy.

Yes, it's a nice idea to rank for different variations of the main keyword: Adobe Photoshop Series. Of course, you can create many posts and rank them all for multiple variations of the main keyword. This is a good SEO practice.

It's a given - how are you writing a series of "how to" content if you're not using "how to" in the first place?
