No, you need more than websites to generate leads

What kind of website are you talking about? Do you mean just an empty website? Or something robust with lots of content and what not?

It is in the title - a 'lead generation website' - it is a site with a specific purpose. google it for a better description

Thanks Kay, I understand the concept of 'lead generation website' I should have been more clear with my question like Serene was:

I am not quite clear on your business model? Do you plan on setting up lead gen websites, running them yourself and selling those leads to a company in the niche?

Or are you saying you want to develop and sell these sites to companis that need them?
      That's more what I meant.

I believe every website is one with a specific purpose or two. I think the answer to the main question is YES, all depends on how much time, effort and money you invest into such a website.
A one page doorway, if this is what you mean, might still work for very very low frequency keywords. It is, however, quite difficult to promote.

Do people still go on the internet to search for answers to their questions or recommendations for solutions to their problems?

Do people still hand over their contact info in exhange for some help or advice?

    OK...

...so now, what do you do with that information?

"Make a good living"? What does that mean? What would YOU do next?

The lead has to go somewhere. It has to get in front of an offer. What do YOU plan to do with the lead?

Sell it to a solution provider?

Get it into an affiliate funnel you get a commission on sales of?

    Something else?

No one magically "makes a good living" out of leadgen sites alone... unless they're paid to make such sites for others.

  • If you want to generate leads, you can use tools like LinkedCamp which is software for LinkedIn. Creating a website might not help you in lead generation.
