Google Ads Cost Explosion, can you help?

Hi guys,

I have a quick beginner question about Google Ads.

Our campaigns have always run very well until suddenly, from one day to the next, the costs skyrocketed.

I then saw that a main competitor disappeared from first place and landed one place below us.

We are now in 1st place, but we pay 3 times as much.

Was this intentional on the part of the competitor and if so, what can we do about it?

Our Campaign is a Smart CPA Campagin, 2 years old and a smart ROAS Campaign.

best regards!

You got to be king of your hill and you are complaining?

You say you are paying 3 times more but say nothing about the results of that.

You know, me, I would gladly pay 3 times more if I made 4 times more money.

It was intentional in your competitor's part, but not the way you thunk.

They did not say, let's let this dude be #1, he deserves it.

Instead, they said, this is our budget, this is our ad. The rest was Google's algo's.

How many clicks are you getting? How many sales? Where do they end up once they click your ad?

What DABK said is all important.

If the extra cost is not leading to extra conversions, you have two options:

    1. You can lower your daily budget
    2. You can turn off the Smart Campaign and switch to manual bids until you find that CPC sweet spot that leads to the best ROI.

Well, one smart way to address this is to add organic rankings and listings for your products or service.

This will tremendously balance things up by reducing your ad spend, giving you more opportunities and authority if done properly...

You don't have to go the rigorous SEO route.

Try the white hat overnight ranking system, you can do it yourself and yield results.

Its free, you can browse it online and use it.

How will it help with bounce rate?

Offering more products to the wrong people doesn't help. The bot visits may increase. Or not. Or remain the same.

      So, how would it help?
