Changing slugs in wp After blogger migration but before 301 redirect

Hello everyone. A few days ago I have migrated an inactive for years blog from Blogger to Wordpress, but this time I want to write a little more seriously, so I'm getting interested in SEO. However, I am a beginner, so I have some doubts and I hope you can help me. I'll give a concrete example so that I don't get too lost in chatter.
Suppose I want to "revive" an old post by changing a few things with the help of Yoast in wp. Among the things I want to change there are also the slugs, because for example I no longer want the date when the post was made to appear in the url. Provided that I have not yet made the 301 redirect of the old blogger posts, since in WP I still have the "work in progress", if I change these slugs in WordPress and then do the redirect, the old blogger posts will be correctly redirected or I will have to change individually, post by post, even the slugs of the respective posts in Blogger? I wouldn't want to lose traffic from those looking for that old post in my old blogger blog. My goal is to change the slugs of the old posts imported into wordpress, to optimize the posts for SEO, and at the same time not to lose traffic from those looking for my old posts knowing the old Blogger blog. I hope I explained myself and thanks to those who will help me!

If you do a 301 redirect from the old url to the new url, people finding your old url will be directed to the new one.

What matters is that the new and old urls are correct in the 301 redirect.

If the page with the new url is not indexed, visitors will see a 404 error page. Once your new site goes live, the redirect will work as expected... they will see the updated page with the new slug (url).
