Year ranges in your keyphrase

Hello I run a automotive parts ecommerce site and I am wondering if year ranges in my focus keyphrase will still work well instead of listing out individual years? Here is an example-

07-11 Honda muffler

If that is my focus keyphrase, when someone searches "09 Honda muffler" will my key phrase still work well? Or should I list individual years like-

07 08 09 10 11 Honda muffler

How should I tackle this? Thank you

In terms of SEO? you want to list it out ( when possible )

think "07-11 Honda Muffler" and someone types "2009 Honda Muffler" What are the odds they will see your listing in search?

If we happen to maybe run this search over on eBay - part of an auto parts listing is listing all of the years that a part fits so you will see eBay inserts " Fits: 2009 Honda " in the title.

So if eBay is Inserting this information in a title... what does that tell YOU what to do in terms of search elsewhere? Add the list of years.

    Good question BTW

Thank you that is what I was thinking. I am new to this SEO stuff and learning using wordpress with yeost. Yeost is telling me that whatever my keyphrase is, I should have that exact phrase in my description at least twice and for it to be the first sentance. I am having trouble trying to figure out how to do this in a tasteful way. I really dont want the first sentance in my product description to read "2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 Mercedes billet radiator cap" when they already know what they are looking at because they clicked the link to "02-12 Mercedes billet radiator cap".

      Does that make sence?

As much as i understand the dilemma... I think we both can agree that there is no tasteful way to make this happen ( same text in first sentence ) But you could do something like:

Mercedes Model Billet Radiator Cap Fitment:
        • Mercedes Model 2002
        • Mercedes Model 2003
        • Mercedes Model 2004
        • Mercedes Model 2005
        • Mercedes Model 2006
        • Mercedes Model 2007
        • Mercedes Model 2008
        • Mercedes Model 2009
        • Mercedes Model 2010
        • Mercedes Model 2011
        • Mercedes Model 2012

We dont have to reinvent a wheel here... look at how others in the same industry are doing this, and again look at how eBay is displaying this data - its in a list. Many auto parts stores do the exact same thing.

eBay and say any other auto parts site has already done the hard work for us... they know the best format to present the information to allow the likes of Google to know to display your page if the query "Billet Radiator Cap for a 2006 Mercedes Model" is searched.

The other aspect of this, because this is exactly how other sites present this data, it is not awkward for the end user going to your site seeing this type of list - its almost expected.

        Hope that Helps!

That does help. I will do some searching on ebay and get a general idea of how its laid out.
