Could you please suggest any methods for minimising the page speed and increasing the user experience of a wordpress website. I'm working on a new website and its my first work. Any suggestions?

I think you mean "maximize page speed". Minimizing it would be slowing down the site.

There are tons of articles online about maximizing the speed of a WordPress site. You just need to do a Google Search for wordpress maximize page speed

Improve the page loading speed and increase the user experience of your client's WordPress website by:

Using a lightweight theme: Choose a theme that is optimized for performance and does not have a lot of bloat features or code.

Optimizing images: Properly size and compress images before uploading them to your website. You can use a plugin like WP Smush do this automatically.

Enabling caching: Caching can really improve the speed of your website by storing static versions of your pages and posts. W3 Total Cache will do this.

Minimizing the use of plugins: Only use necessary plugins and delete any unnecessary ones to reduce the number of HTTP requests and the overall size of your pages. Tough advice to follow!

Using a content delivery network (CDN): A CDN stores copies of your website on servers around the world, which can improve the loading speed for users by serving content from a location closer to them.

Optimizing your database: Regularly optimize your database to remove unnecessary data and improve performance. WP-Optimize automates this.

Enabling lazy loading: Lazy loading defers the loading of images and other media until they are in view, which can improve the loading speed of your pages. You can use a plugin like Lazy Load.
