Hello friends, we all have had previous experience with popular social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and so on. Therefore, using these platforms is something we are familiar with. I am actually planning to create a social hub where people can freely interact with one another without any limitations, similar to an open source platform accessible to everyone. What are your thoughts on this idea? What obstacles do you think I should overcome?

freely interact with one another without any limitations

On social platforms 'no limitations' usually leads to bad behavior. You want to compete with facebook, twitter, youtube, tiktok?

What you should do is look for gaps in the market and close those gaps to give people something unique and valuable .

In addition to that I think that you should keep engaging to get feed back . In other words use social communities to help you build your platform.

Check out Mastadon, a popular open source social networking platform.

Why do you want to do that?

What is different in what you propose from what already exists?

In other words, why would someone give up their time to you?

Without limitations will open a whole can of worms. There needs to be limitations and rules or it could have serious consequences on both your members and your platform. Other than that, what are you hoping to provide that is unique to your platform?

Gab is already a pretty much censorship-free site (at least for conservatives, and those who tend to be silenced by the Big Tech guys). Same with Truth Social, which, I think, took Trump quite a bit longer to put together than he anticipated and is STILL only available in the US.

Unless you are some kind of technical wizard with deep pockets, I don't know if you could even pull off something like that.
