What Keywords to choose for PPC

I have a Fence Manufacturing business and want to run Google Search Ads for it. I build Fences and Farm Gates. The keywords I confirmed were: "metal fencing supplies" "fencing suppliers" "fencing manufacturers" "steel fencing supplies" for Fencing Business and "rural fence supplies" "farm fencing supplies" "livestock fencing supplies" "agricultural fencing supplies" "farm gates manufacturers" for my Farm Fencing and Farm Gates Business. Now I am confused that should I put the Fencing and Farm fencing & gates keywords together OR Should make a different Ad Group for both of them, because it may have relevancy issues. So, what should I do? Any Advice?

    you could try using ahrefs, semrush, google analytics or google keyword planner to help you find any relevant keyword and analyse each of their performance which ones would bring you the most traffic.

    I'd personally create seperate ad groups just to ensure maximum relevance and higher click-through rates.

  • I agree, you should split up your ad groups when it makes sense.

    However, it won't hurt your campaign by having all those keywords in one Ad group. It's just something you need to try.

    Here is the Key. When someone clicks on your ad, what do they see 1st on your landing page. That is how you should go about your Ad groups.

    So, if I have a keyword "metal fencing supplies" then you will have a better chance for conversions if the 1st thing someone sees on your landing page is a special offer to get 10% off fencing supplies...

    Look ... Ad Groups exist solely to help you organize things and make them easier to understand. Nothing about an Ad Group affects how you bid on any given keyword phrase or what your results are.

    That said, I know, for sure, that I don't have enough information to go on in order to give any advice. First and foremost, I need to know if you sell these things worldwide, to all of the USA, to only the contiguous U.S. to just your region, your state, your city?

    What you put in ads and what keyword phrases you target are directly affected by the geographical area you are selling to.
