Hello,

I have been contributing a post a week on my blog for a year now. I just started seeing around 20 people to my website a day. I am hoping that my blog will produce me some sort of revenue and curious if anyone has strategies to help me increase my traffic? Is there something I am doing wrong? I've read I should be seeing 1,000 of visitors by now. Anything and everything helps.

Since it's a punk rock blog, I am struggling finding other blogs I can guest post or link back from. Any tips? I feel like I've reached out to countless music blogs.

How much do you spend and what kind of success are you seeing?

Are you repurposing your content and tweeting to get extra traffic ?

Are you posting your content on linked in ?

    Are you list building ?

    Are you guest posting ?

Do you have a face book fan page that's connected to your blog ?

It's a punk rock blog so I won't be posting to linked in. I do have a Facebook page with 2,500 likes. I see little success from it. I'm debating on spending any more money advertising with Facebook

You should now concentrate on link building. I believe your blog requires some strong do follow backlinks from relevant sites. You can also use social sharing to gain traction. Pinterest and Instagram are working well for me.

Thanks! Yeah, I have 2,500 followers on Facebook but see little success with it. Started to post more on Instagram this past week.

Hope doesn't work with online marketing, and
neither does dreaming, wishing, or praying.

When you start a blog, website, or anything else,
especially if you plan on making money from it,
you need to know HOW you are going to make
money with it. And how you are going to attract
    people to it.

Are you going to sell merchandise, do affiliate
    marketing, sell ebooks, courses, advertising
space to other marketers, or what.

I don't know how large the punk rock market is
but these days you need to do a lot more than
make a blog, post to it once a week, and expect
    to make money.

I could tell you about 15 different things you
could do to promote it, various products that
you could develop, and on and on, but those
are things that YOU need to figure out, if it's
    even worth the effort.

If you see that nothing is happening, then you
need to research what people are actually
buying and move onto doing something else.

Great advice.... BUT you want to do some added things... if it is a community and you have a "Profile" you want to include your blogs url there. If there is the ability to add a signature you want to include your blog there.

The action of being present and a part of the community is one thing... but actually giving that community to get access to you is another.

I remember when I was a beginner, and stuck at 8 website visitors - per month.

It can seem frustrating when you see others effortlessly attract huge volumes of traffic, when you're not growing as quickly as you hoped for.

But stick with whatever is working for you. It all gradually grows bigger, like a snowball rolling downhill. And at one point - a 'tipping point' - it magically all comes together... and you'll enjoy the fruit of your hard work.

The same thing happens with making money from your traffic.

But don't expect simply writing articles to do it all for you. That's one step. And it works - so continue doing it, along with other things to grow your website traffic.

That may include link building, or publishing an email newsletter, or generating traffic from social media, or guest blogging on another site, or partnering with others in your niche to barter visitors, etc.

Keep trying new ideas, and a few will work. The rare one will work really well - and totally reframe everything you've been doing. That point may come tomorrow... or next year... or even later. It's hard to predict. But trust it'll happen. It always does.

    All success,
    Dr.Mani

Congrats bro, on maintaining a consistent blogging schedule for a year. To increase traffic, consider optimizing your content for search engines, promoting on social media, and engaging with your audience. Additionally, explore building the natural links by collaborating with others in your niche, participating in forums, and guest posting on relevant websites. It takes time, but with dedication and strategic efforts, you'll likely see growth. Keep refining your approach and focusing on creating valuable content. Good luck)

Try reaching out to some adjacent blogs, not direct competitors obviously, but you do fishing for example, you would reach out to hiking, or kayaking blogs. Cross promotion can help. It might not jump you from 20 to 1000 a day (unless its a big blog), but it will build slightly, and help with backlinking.
