Time to do... something

May years ago, back in the days where people liked to receive emails, I had a 'joke of the day' type mailing list which I built to 150,000 before some people with more venture capital money than sense approached me to buy it. I had several other lists which I sold alongside it but that was the biggest. I used to run adverts, some paid but many were affiliate adverts - a mix of CPC, CPA, commission etc - my website had CPM adverts too.

I've often been tempted to do it again but didn't know where to start and always felt like I'd 'missed the boat'.

I see some things that people do and think I could do some aspects way better but I also think there are gaps in my knowledge that my brain is just too rotted away to learn. I'm too set in my ways and too medicated to learn overly technical things - I can set up a funnel of a Shopify store if I have to but I want to leave the technical wizardry for others.

I think I could build Facebook groups and also be good at interacting with potential leads online. I don't want to use my face, voice or real name though. Which, may be somewhat of an obstacle.

I most like the idea of having content that suits my niche but then having a way to monetise that as a secondary element, without pestering people. Once they've clicked through to a monetised link then I'll happily grab their info on a landing page and then I'd like to feed them a bunch of offers where they sign up for each one whilst staying on my page. Perhaps I can somehow reward them for each action? I saw one website that paid the person for every sign-up but the catch was they had to sign up for every offer in order to get paid at the end - which sounds a bit scammy. I'd much rather keep people happy, be honest and only sign them up for things that they are likely to find useful - if I have to give them some or all of my commission to do that but it builds trust then that'd be good.

Sorry for the word salad, this is just proof that I can't do copywriting but I'm good with short jokes and brilliant with writing song parody lyrics. I am really good at spotting when a sales page is written by someone who doesn't have very good English - I'm far better at tweaking other people's English than writing my own. I like the idea of either challenging myself or helping others.

In some ways I'm not confident because I never know what steps to take and in what order - I'm told anything promising that just wants to sell you the idea that there's an easy path and then once they have your info progressively sell you more and more tools you require to succeed.

The real problem you have is that nothing has changed.

You can talk all day but until you DO something - you won't learn what you don't know. Talking about marketing is not the same as DOING it.

Suggest you stay long enough to do some reading on this forum - the Warrior Path section, for example....or the SEO section.

You seem better suited to setting up a passive income business model.

Something like publishing digital downloads or affiliate marketing.

I recommend you get a couple of books on passive income methods.

Amazon usually has Kindle ebooks for free or 99¢, just do a search
in the books section and filter by price.

This way you're not stuck trying to do things that may be outdated.

I also recommend you get on ChatGPT or another A.I. that you prefer,
these systems can give you step-by-step instructions for just about
anything, write content, and help you with your business strategy.

A.I. takes a while to get used to because it can be overwhelming, but
if you communicate that you need to start with little steps, it will
    accommodate you.

Come back and let us know how it goes or if you have any questions.

    We are here for you.

    The TRUTH is this:

If you post on this forum once every 11 years and don't stay long enough to read the answers people post for you...and don't return to engage in your own thread....success may be a very long road.

He is fishing Kay for most likely a cash handout.

He is after a PM and PayPal cash amount which he will swear on his family that he will pay back.

He has no credibility or track record here, and has made no effort to do so if his plains fell on hard times.

I would say you won't hear from him again and his login tally will show him visiting on and off for the next two weeks, (checking his PM) til he figures he got on bites and moves on.
