In the past 18 months I've learned alot about business on the internet, it was a journey which commenced out of necessity rather than desire, although I have to say that now the intrigue is what's keeping me here.

My day job is journalism, the invesitgative sort that sometimes gets a bit heavy and depressing, and I've actually found that this industry is one which provides some sort of relief from the stresses of the day.

My venture into Internet Marketing actually started as an investigation. I was approached by a lady named Jane who had fallen victim to an array of scams and was on the verge of bankruptcy. She knew what I did, and knew the resources I had access to and asked me to investigate the industry.

It was an eye-opening experience, as my contacts would fill me in on information about so-called 'gurus' who were little more than computer con-people.

It was dishearting and I was almost ready to close the investigation and call the whole thing a big sham.

But then I stumbled upon some people who were completely different. Their stories checked out, their bank accounts matched their claims, and they offered systems which really seemed to have some credibility.

Deciding to give the investifation another breath, we set up a team of 'hobbyists' who would implement the training these people provided, and see whether they made any money.

It took less than a week for one of the team to make their first sale, and within a month, they had all succeeded in at least seeing the return of their investment.

Seeing the enjoyment that these people were having undertaking the training inspired me to try it myself - and with my basic internet skills and following some guidance - I soon saw profits come rolling in. In fact, in just 2 months of working part time I had made over $2000.

I was then intrigued by these 'Gurus' and began to contact them to find out what drove them to provide good quality information, instead of just jumping on the scam band wagon.

What I found was honesty, humility, and a genuine desire to help others succeed. These people are inspiring, many starting out when they had little, or nothing to their name, and now turning over hundreds of thousands in profits each year.

Canned Genius is a compilation of their experiences, their truthful, honest accounts of how they succeeded and what it really takes to make it in this industry.

And that's why I'm still here, because the kindness and spirit of these people who want to help others succeed has restored my faith in humankind.

And that's something you don't see much of these days.
