It all seems to simple the day you start. Find a niche, make a web site, and droves of people line up to buy your product or use your site. You make a site or two, spruce them up, there decent, but nothing too out of the ordinary. You write a couple new posts / articles a week, and they get indexed, you get some traffic, but again, not a lot. Gets a little discouraging, but I think there is a lot of hope.

1. Either play or you stay home. Sure anyone can go online and figure out how to make a few buck. However if your serious about starting a successful business (and making money long term) then you need to act the way a successful business acts. Professional hosting and professional looking web sites are a must. The people that succeed, at one point, decided to take a leap, jump in and just get it done. Sitting back and learning only takes you so far.

2. Build a mailing list. Use...

I've been very fortunate recently. I was invited into an ad-swap group on Skype by a friend and associate, Jason Anderson. It's done my listbuilding no end of good!

I was given a start off on a list by Jason and his buddy Bruno, and they got me about 300 in one big mailing, just as a favor.

Then Jason invited me into the group. Since then it's been plain sailing!

Getting swaps at the start was a little hap-hazard, but I was soon able to get daily bookings....
