The Power of Perception

Toady I want to take a step back and talk about relationships. I believe that relationships and business go hand in hand. If you are not having success with your business perhaps your relationships with your clients are what’s holding you back.
I want to start with family life first though. This is where my most important relationships are at. My girlfriend and I have a great relationship for the most part. Here is the problem, our perception of any given situation are usually two different things. This is not a matter of who is right and who is wrong. Quite simply it takes extra time to inform the other of what perception I have or she has.
Now bear with me...
Think about your work relationships. I am going to assume you own your own home business and you are trying to convince people they need your services. I have had the most success when I remove myself from my shoes and put myself in the customers shoes.
This may sound like the a b c’s of home business but surprisingly its not the case. Next time you have a free hour just surf the internet and see for yourself all the people out there that are saying what they think you want to hear instead of taking the time to understand your perspective.
Once you master this you are well on your way to a highly successful business. I promise you that.
