I have a wide range of tips to share with fellow Warriors - from teaching you how to write better (or smarter) to helping you learn how to wield the power of free traffic tactics. I'm big on ethics and I'm not shy about pointing out scumbags on my own blog (since it's against the TOS here).

I have made tens of thousands of dollars on the Warrior Forum alone and I'm always willing to help others learn the ropes if they just ask. I wanted to create my Warrior Forum blog to build an in-house area for questions and answers among marketers, so sound off in my comments area and I'll help you as best as I can and if I can't, I'll find someone who will.

Google is still the premier place to get your Squidoo lens indexed. But is a Squidoo lens easily indexed on Google? What do you have to do to get your lens to show up in searches?

I hear some people say they’ve been waiting months while others get indexed in Google in the span of 24 hours. Why the discrepancy?

First: yes, it really is fairly easy to get your lens indexed on Google, but you have to do certain things to get it there. You have to do the same things that you would do to get your website or blog indexed on Google.

Do things like getting your lens bookmarked on networking sites such as StumbleUpon or del.ici.ous to create a wider presence on the Internet. You also have to have good content on your lens. There’s no way around this one. Without good content that’s well written and sprinkled with your tags, Google will probably ignore your lens.

Using a broad range of tags that are relevant to your lens topic and content will help too. A properly tagged lens will help Google and other search engines find your lens. I discovered the lenses I made that I tagged very narrowly didn’t get indexed as fast as those where I’d use a broad choice of keywords.

I always cross-promote my lenses. Twitter about them, stick a link to it on your blog(s), add it to your sig file in forums until it’s indexed, and make sure you have other people bookmark it for you if you can.

The ways to get a Squidoo lens indexed by Google are pretty much the same ways you’ll use to get anything indexed by Google. Be consistent with content, tags and gathering bookmarks and you’ll probably find that your lens has been crawled, found and is showing up in the SERPs faster the more skilled you get at being a lensmaster!

Have a lens built professionally for you, bookmarked, and shared on a web 2.0 expert niche blog by getting one made at BuildMyLens.com - Two Squidoo Experts Unite... to build YOUR lens FOR YOU! - they come with 100% original content, properly laden with your keywords, too.

Great post Tiffany. As well as what you mentioned I find that submitting the lens RSS feed to Feedage.com and Feedest.com gets my lenses indexed very quickly - often within a few hours.

    Thanks Tiffany,
Being relatively new to internet marketing, each site has it's own "hidden secrets", thanks for the insight.
