Leads are the name of the game for building any sort of business both offline and online. So having a good network marketing lead generation process is crucial if you want to succeed with your MLM business.

Offline Versus Online Lead Generation Methods

Understand that the lead generation process can be both laborious and very time consuming, both online and offline.

Offline lead generation involves driving to meet people face to face, and lots of telephone calls. And if the leads are taken from flyers and forms filled in at trade shows, these leads need to be put into a database, and then of course you will need to contact each of them individually. One way or another, you will need to sift and sort through those leads, qualify them, determine their needs and interest level, close them... and then hopefully eventually leads to a sale and a commission.

With offline network marketing lead generation, you'll have to go to events where you can market your network offline. Meet new people and collect business cards for contact info. Not only does this provide you with an easy, free list of leads, it also means you've already made contact with these people. They're much more likely to trust someone they met offline, increasing your chances of turning a lead into a successful client.

Online network marketing lead generation looks to be far simpler on the surface, but if you've been doing online lead generation for your networking business, you already know that simply ain't so. Instead of fishing in a sea searching for the right fish, you are fishing in a vast sea of people, and none of whom have heard anything about you!

There are not many networkeres who are able to pull off network marketing lead generation online without investing initial investment to get it going whether it be investment of time and/or money. Usually, the more capital you can invest the faster your MLM business can take off.

Otherwise, you could be wasting your marketing dollars fast... believe me, we made that mistake in the past already when we first ventured out into the online marketing world.

Now if you have already made an attractive website or blog and you are following the tried and true online marketing techniques like investing in an autoresponder, answering emails, adding articles on a regular basis, prominently showing an opt-in box in your site, building backlinks and joining social media networks, you should eventually be making money over the course of time... keep in mind, these methods is part of your overall long-term marketing strategy and will payoff IF you keep at it.

Believe me... we had our own share of wasted time and money on figuring out which lead generation methods are most effective.
