Many people are lured to entering the MLM or network marketing world because of the sales pitch that you can easily create HUGE amounts of wealth. By showing you a great compensation plan along with supposedly “in demand” products, and an MLM recruiting method that’s been pitched since the very beginning of the MLM industry… you know, just get 2 to join your business and help them get 2 recruits and so on — no wonder why so many people consider network marketing as their ticket to riches.

There is no doubt that if you’ll work hard enough in your network marketing business, you’ll eventually find financial freedom and success.
Even so, there are more and more network marketing failure stories than success stories. Statistics will even tell you that the average distributor will drop out of their MLM business in 30 to 90 days. This gets pretty discouraging…

Learn how to invite before you can recruit. Before learning MLM recruiting, you need to know how to invite. If you can successfully invite another person to an event and have them show up, then you can recruit. You need to become a great "inviter" before you can become a great recruiter.
Practice your recruiting efforts before you ever speak with a potential contact. Practice with another member of the network, so that you can make mistakes with them that don't end up costing you money. The more you practice, the better a recruiter you'll be, and the more successful contacts you will have. And doing role-plays before you make your MLM recruiting call will help your phone recruiting efforts.
Be prepared for any possibility, every rejection and every response. Have a list of responses available if possible. You want to show the prospect that you have experience with their concerns and that you know how to solve any problems that should arise. In return, they will join you.
Relax during MLM recruiting calls. When you become tense, you give out a signal that you are uncomfortable, which makes the prospect uncomfortable, especially because they have no way of knowing what you are uncomfortable about. Make the prospect feel comfortable while talking to you and you present yourself as a competent person who would be great to work with.

You can use the social networking sites to connect with people and offer them value in the form of information and training, write articles on topics that your target market is interested in, contribute to forums, and get involved with video marketing. All of these methods are effective ways to brand yourself online.
When you provide value and training to your prospects, you’ll attract more people this way who wants to work with you and get involved with your business. This is much more effective than pushing your opportunity and products to your friends and family or passing out flyers to strangers.
