Who Cares About Your Affiliate Marketing Business

It was one of those times when you wanted to just crawl under the table at an event. I answered the question that was asked and my mentor looked right at me and asked, "Who cares about your affiliate marketing business?"





We spend so much time on that 30 second elevator speech that tells all about what our affiliate marketing business is. We spend hours creating just the right marketing letter and squeeze page. All to answer the question, "What do you do?"


As it turns out, my mentor wasn't asking an obnoxious question just to embarrass me. He was wanting to know who I was there to serve and what did the message I was sending have to do with them.


Whenever we are writing content or creating sales copy for our affiliate marketing business, we have to keep in mind the person that we are writing to. We want to write to those people who care about what we and our business are offering. That way we get to talk to serious people and give them usable tools.


Our one real job in this business is to give people what they are needing and to light the fire of their determination to begin the journey that will bring them the results that will take them away from pain and allow them to live a life of freedom.


If nobody cares about your affiliate marketing business, you are going to not make any sales. Now, it's time to really look at what you are offering.


Find and care for those who care about your affiliate marketing business.

Forget about determining the avatar that just gives you the age, sex, and income level of the people who might be interested in your business. Find out who the people are that need what you have to answer.


Get to know what motivates them inside and out. Pander to them. Keep them engaged through a Fan Page and through emails. Talk to them one on one. Ignore all of the others that are out there.


Once you identify those who care about your affiliate marketing business you will never run short of customers and team mates.


Focus only on those that care about what you are offering.

Use this as a qualification process for your affiliate marketing business. You want people who care about themselves, their future and changing their circumstances. And, you should be in total alignment with those goals and aspirations.
