I like anything related to the two categories of communication: 1-Inter-personal/relational and 2- Intra-personal.

I'll explain. :confused:

Part 1: Inter-personal/relational communication includes all that is "out there" that bombards our eyes and ears ALL THE FREAKING TIME whether we're alone or with other people. :p

I'm particularly interested in how marketing, advertising and sales messages of all types and media work--and how to make them REALLY kick butt. I've been studying this for, roughly, 25+ years. And, I'm still learning every day.

Part 2: Intra-personal communication has to do with how we communicate with ourselves alone, in a group, in a relationship, under duress, etc. I've been studying this since... uh... the womb. WAY, still learning.

I'm particularly interested in how our brains/minds interact "internally" with the "external" stuff out there.

I really like getting into how it ALL COMES together at the point of our perceptual systems (eyes, ears, touch, feelings, etc) and how/what the brain does to filter, organize, rank and reject information.

I believe that getting to understand this is the key to unlocking effective communication on all levels.

The person who gets this... methinks... will be the king or queen of effective communication.
