Business Networking and Meetups

Business networking is critical if you are a small business owner, entrepreneur or networker who is looking for ways to expand your professional business contacts, business relationships and business sales.

I recommend expanding your business development by joining your niche interest group through Meetup.

I had the pleasure of business networking with like-minded business owners and business providers at the DC-MD Small Business Owner Networking Meetup this past week.



This Meetup group is devoted to business owners in all stages of entrepreneurship, and offers a variety of networking events and educational seminars.

I was able to business connect with the group’s independent contractors, business owners and business coaches. We were able to celebrate our networking connections in addition to the year end holidays; it was a wonderful time to connect.

I am thankful for the opportunity to business network with professionals that assist in business development, and business referrals. It was interesting to also connect with government contractors, and find out more about this niche.

For those who have never gone to an entrepreneurial meetup before, I recommend that
DC-MD Small Business Owner Networking Meetup if you are ever in the Washington DC area; these professionals are warm, genuine, and sincerely helpful--this is a great meetup for you to join!

Closing thoughts to help you:

1) I thought I was sufficiently prepared, but the next time I go to the DC-MD Meetup, I’ll be more aware to add a solid extra hour of time to compensate for the rush hour traffic! I thought I had that covered, and it still took me by surprise.


2) Bring plenty of business cards. If people are interested in continuing the connection, or willing to give referrals, then business cards are a must!
