Gil-Ad is naive and silly

I post again, having upgraded my WF membership. I am now officially a War Room Member, and consequently Very Successful And Worthy Of Respect. Ka-ching.

I don't want to admit this, but the only real reason I joined the War Room is so I could sit back and wait until two people get into an argument. Then I will jump in with the words:

"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here..."

Anyway, onwards to the subject of today's post: me being naive and rather...

How to Abuse an Illicit Minor

Assume the following to be true:

All members of Warrior Forum are, to a greater or lesser degree, intelligent people. All members of Warrior Forum are serious internet marketers.

It follows, therefore, that all serious internet marketers are intelligent people.

Right?

Wrong. You've just succumbed to the fallacious temptations of the Illicit Minor, a categorical syllogism wherein the minor premise (second statement) is falsely assumed reversible....

Copywriting In The English

Earlier today, I was perusing my favourite sub-forum, Copywriting, and offered a few suggestions to a fellow Warrior who had asked for a critique. One of the issues that came up was that the sales letter, top to bottom, was written in English that was disjointed and far from fluent. The guy was selling an IM product, and the poor grammar and mistranslated colloquialisms killed his letter's readability and, probably, its credibility.

It doesn't have to be like this. I've seen firsthand...

My first rant: Subscriber Lists and Making Money

I never fully took to heart the concept of "the straw that broke the camel's back". I assumed it was a pithy metaphor, great for illustrating a hypothetical point but not something that occurred in real life.

Here's what made me see the light:

Yesterday, I got an e-mail. Not that it matters - there are marketers at all stages of the success hierarchy who engage in these practices - but it was from a fairly well-recognized name.

The subject line...
