Here is the structure I'd like to have for the marketing strategy. I think this is going to change though.

Originally, I had envisioned my job board website to exist on its own page with 100 or so pages with #1 keyword rankings referring traffic to it. Here are all the keywords, and the traffic volume per day from smallest to largest
searches/day #1 clicks

As you can see, I haven't listed the exact keywords, but I have listed the amount of searches per day, and the expected clicks you'd get on an average day if you were ranked #1

While I was going through the 30 day challenge the first time, I created a site along with it, and I ended up spending way to much time building the site, because I didn't know all of the tech stuff and didn't have an automatic social bookmarking program. it took me way too long and I wrote way too much content, and didn't even sell anything on it. I don't think the page exists anymore, but the keyword was "microsoft applications". I actually got a high ranking in that phrase match, but it stopped there. I was getting about 2-5 visitors a day after leaving the site alone.

for my next project, I figured out all of the keywords that would have some relevance for my job board website to receive traffic from, and there were something like 500 keywords. however, a lot of them were either jumbled, out of order, or not as relevant, so I reduced it to a list of about 97 keywords, which are listed above.

The lowest of these words has 217 searches per day, whereas the highest has 14,000. since i had done keyword searches for less competitive keywords and I still needed to learn how to use wordpress the right way, I tried making a page with the keyword "11i job", referring to a type of database application. the search engines only had 9 searches a day with 3 clicks, but it was just for experimentation. i got more comfort with hubpages, squidoo, and a lot of the other things. it took me less time than the microsoft page, and I learned a few more things. still, it was not worth anything becasuse of the extremely low amount of traffic it could ever hope to gain.
