Tips For Squeeze Pages

Tips For Squeeze Pages
Most Internet Marketers know the purpose and value of collecting emails: you build an email list so you can stay in touch with your website visitors and prospects. Many marketers use lead capture pages or “squeeze pages” to encourage visitors to sign up or opt in to the list.
Here are a few tips to enhance the appeal and effectiveness of such pages.
First, a strong headline is important to catch the visitor’s attention and spark their curiosity. It is common to offer a freebie of some sort that relates directly to the interests of the prospect being targeted and this can be suggested in the headline.
After the headline, the information provided should be brief and to the point. With that in mind, you can use bullet points to create focus and highlight the key benefits of the freebie being offered. These points might also highlight what the person will gain by signing up, or what they stand to lose if they don’t sign up.
The elements included on most squeeze pages should be kept to a minimum and should be focused on one thing: getting the person to sign up or opt in. It is not a sales page and you are not trying to build your brand with this page. You just want them to sign up.
A well-produced video can be effective for the purpose since many people prefer videos over text these days. However, you should still include the headline and bullet points in a text format to help reinforce the message in the video, and for those who will not take time to watch the video.
Do not include ads on the squeeze page or any kind of a sales pitch. Remember: the focus is simply to get the visitor to sign up or opt in. Save your promoting for later when it will be more appropriate.
You can use a different squeeze page for each different list you are building. This allows you to design the page and the freebie specifically for a targeted prospect. That way, when they sign up for a particular list, they are automatically pre-qualified as a prime prospect for whatever the focus of that list is.
Once your prospect is on one of your mailing lists, you can then follow through with other bonuses, offers and promotions. The effective use of squeeze pages is vital to the success of your Internet Marketing business.
