Make An Offer That Requires An Email Address

The first thing that you need to consider is what you are offering to the prospect that may subscribe, and how you are going to deliver it. In general, people will ask for an email address in exchange for something that they can download, or a video that they can watch. You might want to consider adding more value such as offering an email course that can only be delivered over several days, or several weeks, prompting the need for their email.

Deliver Less And Not More

Most of us have subscribed to an offer to get a product that is extremely large, one that will simply go in that enormous folder that we all have of freebies that we have downloaded. Instead, you might want to consider delivering something that is much smaller, tips or strategies that they can use moments after they have received them, instead of a huge course or product. By giving them something that can actually change their business for the better, a strategy that can be implemented almost immediately, you are going to provide them with something that will cement you in their minds as an expert that can actually help them. If you have ever heard of micro email courses, this is exactly what they are. They are a series of emails that ask people to execute the simple strategy that can result in a phenomenal change.

Only Ask For The Email

The third thing that you should do is remove the requirement on your subscribe box for their name. This seems to be contrary to what most autoresponder companies and gurus will teach. In reality, asking for their name is simply another step that they have to take on top of confirming the email address that they have used. I removing the name from the equation, it makes it easier for people to make the decision to take you up on your offer. If you think about all of the CPA offers that only ask for emails or ZIP Codes, it is this same strategy that makes cost per action offers so successful.
