I’ve been asked a lots of this question “Why we need a blog?”
So, today I decided to create this post to answer this question, once people ask me this question again, I can just send them this blog post link and tell them to read it. :-) Sweet, right? Let’s begin.
Now, Why we need a Blog?
Free Traffic: Blogging is one of the best organic traffic which we also called free traffic. The only expense you need to maintain a blog is a domain fee which you can get one under $10 per year and a web hosting server which under $4 per month depends on the package (but still… It’s available under $4 per month, I believe you could earn at least $4 per day by doing a little local housekeeping job or babysitter).

In this new generation the 21 st century, 95% of human are rely on internet, whenever or wherever they encounter problems, got questions, want to know more about any information or purchased any digital or physical products, people will automatically do research online and find reviews of typical products or information etc.
Now, this is where we’re in, we have a website, we put in valued information in typical niche.When people who are in your niche are searching online in Google, Yahoo, Bing or any other search engines.
Search engine (Google for example) need to show results to the researcher. The result is where we are stand for. We create valued content that target the certain keywords to people who type in that certain keywords in search engine and through Search Engine Optimization (our content get rank by Google back office algorithm).
Our goal of blogging is to get rank to the first page of Google, so then our content can get more viewer and explore, which also mean more traffic to visit our site. So the process you need to do is to provide value based information to get an opportunity to rank to the first page in order to get free traffic.
Brand Yourself As An authority.
Be A Leader In Your Niche.
When you own a website, it is a best place for you to brand yourself as an authority or a leader in your niche. With your blog, you can write contents that can help people out, doing video that show your audience how to do XYZ step-by-step, engage with them through the comments or the emails they sent to you, etc… Write the way you write, speak the way you speak.

Be a real YOU is the thing we’re focus here. Because I saw a lots of others are trying to be someone else, copy other’s writing style, stealing other’s contents…
Be YOURSELF, because you will have your own market (don’t ever worry about that), people who resonate with your story, your writing style, your voice, your mind & spirit. They will become your loyal followers. Showing your personality is one of the most effective way to gain like & trust.
Build Trust & Relationship
As I said above, the real personality from yourself is the gold mine to gain like & trust.
People always follow people who they know, like & trust. So with your blog, you can do all that by sharing trustful information, teaching, what you have learn in your XYZ journey, your opinion, tips & advice or reviews with certain products you used. Once people like & trusted you by receive a lots value from you, they will automatically purchased what you’re selling without ever pitching them.
Long Term Business: When we are having a business which we put money, time & effort to maintain it, we want it be a long term thing, at least I personally do. Blogging just like building a castle, once you build up the based, it is much easier to keep it well for the long term. And it’s also a place that allows people to review what you’ve done and recognize you’re a leader, so the traffic still keep flowing in by time.
Laser Target: It is a laser target audiences. When we get started our blog, the second thing we need to do is to knowing your audience.
- Who are they?
– What’s their age?
– What are they struggle the most?
– What they want to accomplish with?
– How you can help?
By knowing well your audience, so you know what they need help with, then you’re on the term of giving the right medicine to the right pain which also mean most of your audiences are targeted before you create a content for them.
Now, I guess you already knowing how having a blog gives benefit to get started an online business as a beginner and how you can use it to grow your business as a long term strategy.
