So what is search engine optimization, (or seo), for short anyway?

y people go to the Google Adwords Keyword Tool and type in the words "what is search engine optimization"?

As of today, May 31st, 2013, there are more than 450,000 people every month that type either that exact keyword phrase in or something that is "closely related" to it.
The short answer for what is SEO is that it is the ability to get your website ranked higher in search engines than millions of competing websites. This is something that I have been studying for more than 10 years now.
