Why Twitter???
Posted 14th October 2008 at 01:42 AM by Monetize
Everyone's heard of Twitter by now, but is
it a valid social network or is it just another
time-waster?
Between article marketing, joining groups,
posting to forums, Squidooing, MySpace,
Facebook, Craigs List, YouTube, Digg and
all the rest, who has time to tweetup?
Who has extra time to learn all that brand
new twerminology? First you have to think
up another twandle, then you need to upload
your twavatar, and then you've got to find
a bunch of twollowers.
Talk about time-consuming.
Well, before you throw up your hands and
yell "forget about it," consider some of
the following reasons for setting up a
Twitter account, in no particular order:
It's really easy to sign-up and setup.
You can monetize your background.
Your followers are informed about your
projects, whereabouts or what's on
your mind.
Questions are answered almost immediately.
Announce news and upcoming events.
Market your products or services.
Conduct online meetings.
Build a business network.
Follow and be followed.
Establish joint ventures.
Hang-out and share information.
Seek feedback, advice and suggestions.
Discover people's opinions in real time.
Generate traffic to your website(s).
Exchange photos and videos.
Meet lots of other people.
Link it to your Facebook account.
Real-time brainstorm sessions.
And so much more.
If you haven't already done so, why don't
you give Twitter a twy.
