Especially, take it from me, if you work at home by yourself, you need forums in your everyday plan. For some reason it just motivates you to work harder. You may read a post about someone making their first sale or what they accomplished and that makes you want to do the same.
These forums take many forms which includes the standard forums, discussion boards and bulletin boards. Marketing has always revolved around relationships. The basic element of a relationship from the aspect of online marketing is to weave an element of trust between the potential purchaser and the vendor or web site owner. Once there is this element of trust, even the tiniest bond that has been sown between the potential buyer and seller, it becomes easier for the potential buyer to take a further step to purchase the product. That is why many marketers are establishing forum boards, interacting with their clients and provide support and answer queries.
These forums are also a great tool for beginners to Internet Marketing so they can congregate to seek free resources, or request information or advice from more experienced Marketers. When you see a post where you can respond, make a an informative post. Do not reply with "me too" or "so do I" etc... That just pisses people off because they know what you are doing and that is to try to market your website however, in the beginning you want to provide quality content before promoting your signature. I would say make 5 threads or replies with good relevant content and then after that you can start promoting your signature. This confers on you two advantages. Firstly, you gain a backlink to your website when you leave your website address in a much visited forum, and secondly, Marketers who read your post will tend to visit your web site by following the link in your post.
