Multiple companies have been using a service like Billfloat to pay over a short period of time a bill or purchase, usually from an online source. Recently, wireless companies have started trialling this service for the purchase handsets. With the Iphone 5 and Samsung Galaxy SIII with high price points upwards of $500, consumers are starting to hit their ceiling for purchasing a new handset. This goes to show that even though wireless companies have free phones, customers are willing to pay more for a better product.
