Why do you need a USP?


I'm talking about something most of us tend to avoid.

And yet it is almost always the first thing
any guru worth his/her salt tries to get a new
student to do.

Why do we avoid it? Because it's hard!

I mean . . . Really Hard. Especially for someone
that's never tried it before.

And yet, without doing it, you will be like a ship
without a rudder. Floundering, taking on water
and, ultimately, slipping beneath the surface on
your way to Davy Jones locker.

(Financially speaking of course.)

What is It?

It's YOU. Your Unique Selling Proposition (USP)

The process of looking at yourself and determining
your uniqueness. What it is about you that sets
you apart from the crowd.

I don't know why it's so hard to look inward
and see who you are. What you have to offer the
world.

But it is as necessary in your personal life as it is
in business.

Without going through this process it is
impossible to plot a course for your future.

As a result your tiny ship is pushed and shoved
in any direction by the wind and waves of life.

Does anyone know of a template or formula
to help facilitate the process of self examination
for the purpose of developing a forward looking plan?

It should have been something we learned
in grade school. Right?
