Twitter is an excellent social media marketing tool for busy small business owners and online marketers… When used correctly.
But there are a couple of new Twitter changes coming that will help you use Twitter more effectively.
What Twitter Changes?

You’re probably familiar with the 140 character “tweet” limit.
Twitter’s 140-character limit keeps your marketing efforts short & to the point; and it is one of the things that separates Twitter from the plethora of other social media sites.
The character limit is so popular that earlier this year, there were some simple plans to allow tweets to expand from 140 to 10,000 characters.
But those plans appear to have been put on the back burner.
Instead, it looks like Twitter is going to adjust the way individual parts of your tweets are counted.
Until now, links, photos, videos and “@ replies” counted against your 140-character limit.
That is going to be adjusted over the coming week, according to Twitter.

What These Twitter Changes Mean….

Links to websites, photos and videos will no longer count against the character limit…
Which means you can now use the full 140 characters to get your message across.
While this may not seem like any big deal… these extra characters will allow you to use Twitter more effectively.
It gives you more room for multimedia posts.
Now that photos and videos don’t count against your limit, you can use a lot more of the without sacrificing the text of your marketing message.
And if you are not using photos on your tweets, you need to start.
According to Twitter, simply adding a photo to your tweet can boost retweets by 35%.
And you’ll now be abot to start using full sentences in your tweets (even with hashtags included).
In short, the new Twitter rules will enable you to start getting your marketing message across on Twitter.
So why not check it out for yourself…
