Most IMers know about free stuff like OpenOffice for creating PDF eBooks and Gimp as a replacement for PhotoShop, however, there are tons of other great freebies available for the taking.

Simply Google the Key Words for the applications mentioned.

If you ever wanted to explore the benefits of mind mapping there is FreeMind Mind Mapping.

If you want to record anything that is audible on your PC, i.e. music, voice overs, phone conversations, etc there is SoundCapture...

To gain trust in readers, here is a powerful tip I found to increase your sales.

Make sure to give some “negatives” in your presell
as this has a great effect on trust in terms of the reader.

By “negatives” I mean things like: “this is no quick fix, and will require some
work” “there are some things you should know” things like that.

What are your thoughts on using “negatives” in this way when preselling?

Squidoo Health Check: Don't Freak Out

Squidoo added a Health check to the dashboard (in the same line where your edit link is). I know for a fact there will be people freaking out and emailing me saying their lens Health Check showed some negatives.
