My answer is that you need 3 things:

A plan - make sure it's a plan that is already working for others.

Focus - focus on your plan and don't let anything distract you

Determination - don't let anything stop you. You WILL have ups and downs. You will have setbacks. But that's normal. Find a way around challenges until you succeed.
