A Joint venture is really a win win situation for both parties as long as you do it right. Joint Ventures are strategic business alliances that allow two companies to use each others resources, compliment each others strengths, fix each others weaknesses and do it all at half the price and half the risk. That alone shows how much of a win win situation Joint Ventures are.
Putting up a joint venture thought requires a lot of thought, a lot of planning and pin point accurate conditions. To start off, first thing is finding the perfect partner in your Joint Venture. You need a company that you will be able to increase profits with and that you can increase profits for as well. Remember, win win situations are for both teams. Don't be intimidated in joinig forces with a bigger company, because if you're a small business that can help them, then imagine how much a big company can do for you Business scale is not the point of the selling point here, it's what you can do for them and what they can do for you. Think of it like the perfect marriage between Cinderella and prince charming, they did live happily ever after no matter how incompatible it seemed!
Finding this suitable partner is not that hard, you can easily find companies in forums over thousands of website over the Internet. But a better way for me is to find someone that you have a connection with. Sharing common ground with the company could do a lot f good. It maybe be easier to do things or if you have a common friend of acquaintance that can back you up, it makes things easier as well.
When you do find suitable companies, and that's in the plural because you should have a set of choices before actually making a decision and just in case your number 1 or number 2 choice doesn't push through, you have options 3 and 4 etc. Check on the companies backgrounds, you should always know who you're dealing with and who you maybe associating with. If a makeup company that's not too strict on animal testing wants to form a joint venture with a skin care company, and you find out that company is friends with P.E.T.A, then I guess you'll b skipping on sending them a proposal!
Next, when you have made your choices and checked them out, make up proposals that are personalized to suit the needs of that company. Do you have a specialist in a certain field that they don't and that they could use? Give general details that will entice them and make them want to know more information. Don't show all you cards yet though, you have to reel them in.
Once things are settled, the details should come to place. Make sure that everything is discussed and agreed upon, don't leave any areas uncovered as to avoid future problems. Then will everything in place, start enjoying all your winnings!
Here's to your success!
