If you go to just about any internet marketing forum you will find one or two posts from people asking how to get a quick 100 dollars. Not a thousand dollars or a million dollars, just 100 dollars. Getting a small amount of money first is a big deal. Heck, I spoke to a guy once who only made one dollar in his last six years online, and to that most people would say, "Great! You're doing better than most people out there." So how do you make an easy 100 dollars overnight, if you are determined to get that money?

To be honest, the process of infoproduct creation and affiliate marketing is hit or miss. I launched one product that made me $16,000 in 21 days, and another that only made me $24 over the course of one year. You just cannot expect to make your first money selling infoproducts; it is not going to happen. What you can do instead is make your first few dollars freelancing. Join a site like Elance, Rentacoder or Scriptlance. I recommend Scriptlance, which despite its name is not just for programmers, it is for writers, too.

Writing articles will make fast money, but it is hard unsustainable work. But if you want to make that 100 dollars overnight, find posted jobs that ask for 10 articles. A going rate for ghostwritten articles is $50 for a pack of ten, or $5 per article. You can write a 250 word article on a subject in 7 to 20 minutes. That means you can expect to earn that 100 dollars from 4 or 5 hours of work. You can also find people who want you to rewrite articles.

Stay away from huge projects (more than a handful of articles) or projects that require you to write entire books... anything that you think will take you longer than 24 hours. Do not take on more than two of these 24 hour projects at a time.

Freelancing will get you started, and you can fall into that easy money trap, but always document what you learned. Start a blog or record daily videos talking about what you did that day and eventually, you will be able to sell it as a special report showing how you made an extra $100 per day, or perhaps you stumbled on some system that enabled you to pump out a bunch of articles quickly.

Do not limit yourself to writing. Freelance script installation is popular. People pay $25 to $100 to install WordPress, phpBB, or vBulletin with specific plugins. If you are technical enough to install scripts, you can capitalize on this need. But follow my advice from before and do not take on too many large projects.

Freelancing is not the most exciting or profitable way to make money online, but that is the way you are going to make your first few dollars, before you are ready to market affiliate programs or create your own products.
