Exactly How EASY is it to make money online?
If you have been using the internet for any length of time, you will no doubt have seen the adverts. “Make Easy Money Online!” “Fill Out Surveys For Quick Cash!” “Make Hundreds Of pounds A Day by Clicking Your Mouse!” Okay, forget the hype and hysteria just for a moment. From personal experience, most of these types of ads won’t work.
Notice I said “won’t” not “don’t”. You will probably make a few pounds/dollars/Euros here or there, but in majority of these cases, The hassles far outweigh the benefits of the efforts you will be investing in that program. They are usually similar to work-at-home opportunities of yesteryear which were hugely popular but not as financially rewarding as they claimed like stuffing envelopes.
Don’t despair though, truth is, there IS plenty of money to be made online, all with varying levels of difficulty, the good news here is that you do not need to be a techie or business guru to pocket some of this money for yourself. What do you need I hear you ask? You just need to possess a skill, a strategy, and the will to work hard. This is “thinking outside the box” so don’t just reject it because it alien to you for now.
Become a Freelancer
Having not done any research into the number of people starting online businesses, I would not doubt that this number is in the millions. Starting a business is fraught with a lot of difficulties and they (entrepreneurs) find that they need to bring in outside help; this is commonly called “outsourcing”. This process has gotten a lot easier with the rapid growth and accessibility of the internet, seemingly overnight websites have sprung up that helps connect employers with freelancers. If you have a skills that you can sell remotely online then you are probably ready to go. What kind of service can I offer? Do you know anything about web design, Are you a more than competent writer, How about graphic designer? Whatever skills, you possess there is a market for it online.
You are probably thinking right now, who is going to pay me to do work for them on the internet? There are people that will, you just need to be confident and believe that it can happen, from personal experience, once you have gotten that first customer your doubt start to be alleviated.
Okay I’m sure you would like to know where to go to find yourself this work, websites like Freelancer.com, Guru.com, fiverr.com and Elance.com. The above sites are great and in some cases there are specific sites you can go if you want to provide a highly specialized service, take writing for example you can put your services up for offer on websites like textbroker.com and iwriter.com.
A good strategy will be to join several freelancing sites, and create a compelling profile, this is enough for you to start finding jobs. Naturally you will have to start small, gain some positive feedback, and then raise your rates to what you feel is appropriate, based on the level of work which you do.
Fiverr
Above I mentioned fiverr, I really like this website because the scope of what’s available is simply put amazing, they say imitation is the highest form of flattery, if this is the case then fiverr is the proudest of all the sites, due to the massive number of imitators that have cropped up with a similar idea and style.
With fiver, you offer a product or service for five dollars (the website takes a dollar) and wait for people to contact you. What you offer on fiverr is limited only by your imagination. I have used the website to have videos made for one of my businesses, you can find people to do voiceover work, graphic design, writing, handing out flyers, doing imitations, and tons of other creative ideas.
If you are able to do something strange that grabs people’s attention, somebody out in the world may want to utilize you for marketing purposes. The trick here would be to find something which you can complete relatively quickly, and when you’ve built up your reputation you can offer extras which people will pay extra for.
Start a Blog
This route is the preferred route for hobbyist looking to maybe monetize their hobby. This route is preferred because anybody can start a blog. Using tools such as WordPress, you find a niche which you are passionate about, e.g how to train your pet ROCK(there has been one such niche website setup in the past, and it was quite lucrative) and start blogging.
If you succeed in getting your blog setup and generating a lot of traffic, you can then monetize the blog with advertising, or affiliate recommendations, blogs are unique because they are treated more and more like launch platforms, i.e. you start your blog to build a reputation, and when that reputation is big enough you launch your business.
If you want to be a writer, a blog is an excellent place to start because it will showcase your skills. Make it professional and write several samples of different subjects and style matters. Include your contact information and then just wait for the offers to roll in.
Sell, Sell, Sell
Another serious way to build an income online is to sell other people’s products for a cut of the profit of that sale, this is referred to by so many names, but the most widely accepted is affiliate marketing, just like freelancing, there are a number of website where you can go to find products to sell for other people. The most common is Clickbank.com. Even Amazon has a pretty good affiliate program.
If you would prefer to sell physical products, then auction websites like eBay give you that opportunity, if you are low on storage space whilst waiting on items to sell, you could even try drop shipping, this is when you sell a product which you don’t even own/have possession of.
Hope fully I have opened your eyes to how EASY it is to make money online, one word of warning I would give though is even though it might be “easy” to make money online you have to be willing to do the “work” because I have not heard of or found a program that you can buy and that program automatically starts putting money in your accounts with no effort from you.
