Aged Domain Finder - The Amazing Power Of Aged Domains

But what exactly is an Aged Domain?
Well, an aged domain name is simply a domain that someone originally registered, and for whatever reason decided not to renew it when it’s registration period expired.
As you know, when someone owns a domain, they need to pay a registration fee each year to maintain ownership of the domain.
Provided you buy the domain before it has been canceled (generally after no one has purchased the domain during the period of time from when the owner had to re-register it and when the domain registrar decides to cancel it) you will get the full benefit of the age of the domain.
So if somehow registered a domain ten years ago, and kept it registered each time it was due for renewal, and then does not do a renewal when it is due, you can swoop in and pick up the domain for a fraction of the price, and effectively purchase a ten year old domain!
Canceled Domains – A canceled domain would be one that the owner (or no one else) re-registered before the domain register canceled it.
When the domain is canceled it loses its age and effectively does not exist until (if) someone registers it as a new domain. In this case it is just that a brand new domain, and is not generally what we want to use.
Advantages of Aged Domain Names
So why use aged domains? Essentially Google and other search engines places a certain amount of emphasis on the age of a web site when determining where that aged domain will rank in the search engines.
Additionally Google seems to place additional emphasis on the page rank passed to other websites linked to from an aged domain.
Long Story Short: Everything else being equal, aged domains tend to rank much better and give better “link power”. Two pretty compelling reasons to use them. Google “trust” a site more as it ages, so buying an old domain is the way to go. Luckily we have a clever software tool to help you, the Aged domain finder.
