Forget the Number of Competitors

There is a post on the Warrior Forum about someone choosing keywords that have at least 50 searches a day and less than 10,000 competition.

Think about it Warriors!

Does it matter if the competition is 100 or 100,000 to get on the 1st page of Google?

No - what matters in my view is the strength of those top 10 listing.

Between keyword with 10 PR8 competitors and 100,000 PR0 competitors, take the 100,000 every day!

Commissions - Online or Offline or Both

There are numerous ways to get paid via commission instead of working an hourly job.

For example, you could do Avon from your home.

But why stop there? Whatever you 'offline' experience you can also leverage that online.

With Avon, for instance, nothing prevents you from also having a website and taking orders online.

This isn't an either / or situation. Make use of both online and offline opportunities, and let them complement each other to...

Do You Rely on Luck or Have a Strategy?

Too many marketers jump from idea to idea, throwing up this and that, hoping to make a few bucks.

It's as if they're playing monopoly instead of building a business.

Whatever your strategy is - you need to have one. There are tons of strategies for making money online.

What you need to do is work your strategy. Stick with it. Let it build. Then you will start to see the money flow in.

Be Creative With Unique Graphics and Content

Affiliate marketing is easy if the merchant gives you banners, content, perhaps even email all pre-made to use.

Right?

Wrong!

You need to be unique - not only for the search engines, but also to entice people to click on your affiliate links.

Create your own graphics and content.

Holy content batman did I say create your own banners?

Yep, it's easy too.

If everyone has the same graphic people get banner blindness....

Smart Marketing

One of the downfalls of many online marketers, especially new marketers, is that their websites are absolutely terrible.

Look at the major websites you tend to visit, get advice from, and buy from.

They're probably nice looking. Well designed. Good colors. Easy to navigate.

If you're smart this is what you'll copy.

Now look at your website.

Too many people are looking for easy money online that they don't bother to spend the time...
