Basic Squeeze to CB Hi all Total beginner but been doing some research on affiliate with CB. Just after some tips on a basic Squeeze straight to a CB product, it's very basic but my aim is to get the user straight to the sales page for the conversion. Site is World Of Warcraft - Easy Gold Again a beginner so tips and criticism welcome! Cheers all Neo |
Re: Basic Squeeze to CB For someone who is a complete beginner and has put something like this together, good job Neo! Have you thought about capturing the person's email before sending them to the offer? |

He means landing page. That's what that is, after all. It's not a squeeze page. A landing page (also known as gateway or door way pages) are simple pages that "presell" an offer. That's what the OPs page is. Unlike a "squeeze page", it doesn't generate leads. A "squeeze page" collects leads, such as email addresses, before passing traffic to an offer. Thats what I believe the OP should be doing. |

I think you're very unlikely to make (m)any sales, that way, Neo. This post may help you: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post7110523 http://cdn.warriorforum.com/images/s...ilies_wink.png You need to be collecting the email addresses of your visitors. Here's the point: to earn any significant money from affiliate marketing, you need to do three things ... (i) Keep your potential customers returning to the sales page (because not so many people buy anthing much at their first visit to a sales page, and if you don't have a way of contacting them, their first visit will usually be their last visit!); (ii) Make increasing sales (ideally at progressively higher prices) to the same "captive audience" who regularly rely on and trust your recommendations; (iii) Establish the credibility and trust necessary to do both the above by earning's people respect as a provider of niche-related information. Without collecting your visitors' email addresses, of course, you can't do any of the three and you'd just be throwing away almost all the traffic you ever generate that doesn't buy anything immediately. And people don't buy ClickBank products like that "immediately". These three threads are more informative ... Is it a good idea to spend some time on building a mailing list ? Without Building a List, How Consistent is Your Income from Affiliate Marketing Does anyone even make money online without an email list? . |
Re: Basic Squeeze to CB You need a landing page to capture the email address then after the opt in automatically send them to the offer. This way you can email your subscribers other tips and offers. |
Re: Basic Squeeze to CB Thanks for the tips all, I am just writing a small harvest script for building a list, I saw this is such an important thing to do, I just wanted to get something out there as a placer and just get some traffic rolling to it and see what happens. Also thanks for the squeeze and landing clear up! N |
Re: Basic Squeeze to CB I suggest you to build your own list for WOW niche. You must have enough knowledge about WOW game. |
Re: Basic Squeeze to CB Unfortunately I play the game exclusively, the wife thinks too much lol I have a few ideas floating about but will sort the page out first and at least get a harvester in there N |
Re: Basic Squeeze to CB Now I am at my desk I can make a more in depth reply. So... my next part is to get an email harvester in there. I am in two minds if I will pipe it into Aweber at the moment, as long as I get the list now I can look at potentially using it to keep custom in the loop later. As for traffic I have cheated a little bit, a couple of gigs off fiverr for facebook push outs, and just whacked a little PPC - Adwords to see what it generates. Thanks for the help so far, again I am new, but have a tech background so it does help when coming to coding / hosting! N |

Changes I quickly noticed are: 1) The video would look better if it was centered; or since the plugin banner is not large, it would be better if you would put it besides the video. 2) For a game like WoW, a darker background would be more appealing, as you can notice in other WoW websites. Keep it going! |
Re: Basic Squeeze to CB Hi Neo WP on your first landing page :) I'd recommend as a beginner do the following if you can, this is the road to GG :P Get WordPress up - it's the most simple solution for making lovely pages easily and its free Get a autoresponder - I recommend Aweber but if you want a free option mailchimp is free If you have WordPress installed get the Thirstyaffiliate plugin installed, it allows your to change your clickbank URL from that "ugly looking" URL to a nice URL that looks like it's coming from your domain. On your landing page, convert it into a squeeze page where you allow them to watch your video in exchange for capturing their email, this way you can continue to send them offers and convert your traffic into subscribers. With your autoresponder - try to introduce yourself and give them cool free tips on how to be a better player before sending them your offer. Basically try to build a small relationship with them, there's a much better chance they would purchase your offer. Your autoresponder will do all this for you, the hard part is, writing your initial first autoresponder emails. I took ages to do mine, but yeah I'm not the best writer :) Hope this helps, it's what I would do in your situation. Mozie |
Re: Basic Squeeze to CB All noted and will implement changes soon :-) Thanks all N |
Re: Basic Squeeze to CB Not bad. good for starting. continue and but think about responsiveness of your landing page. Your landing page is not mobile friendly! Carlos |
Re: Basic Squeeze to CB I am going to go down the bootstrap route, the one I placed up there was just to give me the edge to work on it... Will find something decent soon! N |
Re: Basic Squeeze to CB Not bad for start, but you need to collect leads. So you need squeeze page. So you will be able to follow them... However realize people are not robots and they usually don't just buy on impulse. Most of your sales are made on the followup once you email them several times and find ways to overcome their objects. If you want people to buy your stuff you need to explain why they need it, how it's going to help them, show social proof of other people are satisfied with your stuff Almost all sales are made on the folow up... You can also re target them, because people are most likely to buy if they see your staff more time out there... Every traffic source has a flow of how it works so you need to learn that flow. |

"Which autoresponder to use" is one of the very few things in internet marketing that it really does pay to get right the first time. It's not one of those things like "where to host", which you can always change as you go along with slight inconvenience only but no great loss. The specific problem in this regard is that if you don't create the list in the first place by using the facilities of a proper, professional autoresponder service, you're almost never going to be able to import the email addresses you've collected into a proper, professional autoresponder (without effectively starting again from scratch with a fresh opt-in, which typically loses most of the existing subscribers). It's terribly easy to think "Well, I'll collect the email addresses right from the start, and worry about Aweber/GetReponse later". It doesn't work that way. :smilies_confused: Quote:

I'd advise you not to spend much/any money on traffic without collecting the visitors' email addresses! That's wasteful of resources. :smilies_confused: Good luck! . |
Re: Basic Squeeze to CB Well just a bit of an update as your all so kind to reply to my original post. I am getting visitors but no conversions so I really need to get on and change that page. Hope to get something done soon, hunting about just for some templates I can rip apart or generate! Neo |
Re: Basic Squeeze to CB Looking forward to hearing of some great success from this! |
Re: Basic Squeeze to CB That is great for beginner a very good start you will have to carry on with the same spirit take more steps and soon you will see results. |
Re: Basic Squeeze to CB I was tempted just to get the Thrive Content Builder as for the price it will allow me to build quick and easy, anyone had any good exp with it at all? I am quite proficient with WordPress so using it wont be an issue! N |
Re: Basic Squeeze to CB I agree that you should build a squeeze page and build a list that way. Since you are playing a lot of WoW you should know some of the pains of e.g. beginners (I could imagine getting slashed by veteran members all the time is frustrating). Write a report or cheat sheet on that that you give away for free. Promote it in WoW related forums and social media sites. Build trust by sending them more tips in the next days after they have signed up before you promote something. Google "KLT" and "Kevin Rogers" for inspiration. :-) |
Re: Basic Squeeze to CB Ok I made the jump and went over to WP with a few addons, hope it looks better than the old one! Still need to tweak it! N |
