      I didn't write it. A friend of mine showed it to me this morning at the coffee shop.

      I posted it for a couple reasons.

      1) A lot of companies are blending brand marketing with a direct response flavor. I thought this was a good example.

      2) I really like the tone in the voiceover. It feels genuine. That's often missing from a lot of direct response VO's... even the really successful ones. Makes me wonder... would a more authentic tone and approach in the voiceover help or hurt conversions.

        I like the tone too. Really comes across as someone who is there to help, someone that has something genuine to offer.

        I like it overall.

        But as someone who has spent days just trying to put a small FB icon in the header, I'm a bit skeptical of it. If they slotted a demonstration in with it, I would've believed it more.

          Yeah -- it's missing proof elements. And their saying "actually, it's incredibly complicated" doesn't help.

          In fact, they could stand to simplify their explanation of what "the grid" is and what it does. As it stands, they're not clearly offering much that trumps other options.

          "Websites that design themselves"? What could go wrong?

          "Join the evolution"? huh? "Be a founding member"? why? "content is power, so power your content on the grid"?

          It's slickly done, but the pitch leaves a lot to be desired. It's all over the place, instead of homing in on the needs of a specific target market.

          Not enough info to digest for the technologically inclined, not straightforward enough for laypeople, and stuff like "join the evolution"... hmm...

    At first it's nice, but then it's too long, it's never-ending all the same starts to get really boring. Something like that much shorter will have a nice and modern look.
