Printed off his wall chart, good reminders. Now, to find a place on my wall, buried with 75 formulas, 27 Headlines, 14 Tactics, 7 Major Triggers...etc., etc.

But, I'll make room...or start on the ceiling.

When you write something for your visitors, make sure that should be understood by your users and should be unique, short and crisp. Keep on updating the new things and post fresh articles in your own style. try it!

  • I'll throw out another random tip:

The strongest, most important idea goes at the end of the sentence.

That's because the way we read, our minds give whatever goes before the period the most emphasis.

On top of that, writing of all types usually follows this. (Notice how "this" at the end of the sentence feels weak.) So when your sentences don't end on strong ideas, it feels off to the reader. We expect the important stuff to be at the end of the sentences, so when it's not, we have to slow down and go hunt for it.

When I taught freshman composition, the best way to get young writers to write more clearly was to teach them to write concisely (like the first two tips in this post), and to teach them to move most of their important ideas to the ends of their sentences.

Guess that's why we have punchlines.

No comedian ever got a laugh with a joke trailin' away into any kinda inconsequential or ethereal limbo.
