What would you recommend?

I'm very committed to learning copywriting and want to buy a good book on it. I've already read the pinned post of all the top books however if I had the budget to only buy 1 single book on copywriting and I knew absolutely nothing about copywriting what book would you recommend that would give me the fundamentals to build a solid foundation on and get me going?

"Power Copywriting For The Internet" by Bob Serling is a good book to start off with. Then follow it up with "Triggers" by Joe Sugarman.

HOWEVER... self-teaching is a long, agonizing crawl. If you're serious about becoming a successful copywriter, find a coach who will work with you one-on-one. If you do, your progress will be easier and much quicker.

I know you asked for a book - but I would recommend you go to the GaryHalbertLetter site because his material is one of the easiest for a newbie to learn, IMO.

I believe there's a link to it in the "resources" sticky at the top of the forum.

I wouldn't buy any book and just subscribe to a few bloggers and leaders in content marketing. Don't you think that before any of those books gets published its content is a bit outdated? I really think that if you want to stand in front, you should look for advice from people who spend every day on the topic and share their precious observations.

As it was said the best way to learn something is self-education. As for the book, I would advise "Power Copywriting For The Internet". I also would suggest to start with simple tasks at various marketplaces. I want to note that there is a good copywriting marketplace - https://2polyglot.com/copywriting-services.
