Does It Matter/Where Should I Put Testimonials?

I have seen testimonials at various points in different sales letters. I have a weight loss product so it is before and after photos.

What should I do with them i have 10 of them.?

-put on right hand side along the text
-put in between paragraphs sprinkled throughout
-at very end

what is the best way to do this?

You'll never know until you split test.

Test all of the above and collect the conversion data.

It doesn't matter... most people don't read 'em anyway. Maybe one or two, tops.

They just want to see that you have 'em.

It takes more copywriting skill to put them throughout than it does on the side or after the P.S. If you're not careful, they become "speed bumps" and actually distract the reader.

Here's what you want to do--specifically in the weight loss market:

Pick a testimonial and picture with the best results that most closely aligns with your market.

Put that testimonial above the fold. With the right copy and images, you could put as many as three testimonials above the fold. But one usually works better. It's less busy and easier to read.

But the testimonial has to be the right one.

This is a postcard that illustrates the point:

The remainder of the testimonials should be peppered throughout the piece. Never clumped together.
