Need few basic Idea to write effective sales copy

You know guys, after all the product creation works, email campaign setup, graphics and setting up web account, the last final hurdle is writing 'a converting sales letter'. It seems like a very huge task, trying to entice my potential customer. (Although i have a great product for a large hungry market (well that's what i believe). I know it is probably just my tired mind. but i guess at the moment, im a bit exhausted.

Outsourcing for a good copy writers will cost 1k at least. At the moment, i think im not in the position to spend. So guys..

one or two nice tips or word of wisdom from fellow warriors might help me jumpstart the task of creating the 'Killer Sales page'..

Thank you in advance!

I was where you are right now about 6 years ago. I am only now starting to write effective copy. It took that long, and I have a double degree in English and Rhetoric! What can I say, I bought and absorbed loads and loads of info, and I'm in John Carlton's SWS coaching program right now.

If you want to give it a shot on your own, then really really get into the mindset of overhearing someone saying that they have the exact problem you have, and just talk to 'em. Be you.

Most likely, if you are like me, what you'll wind up with is decent source material a copywriter would use and tweak.

So, definitely, give it a shot...get it out there...see how it does.

When I tried that 5/6 years ago, I did get *some* sales, but nothing like what's starting to happen for me now.

Exactly the wrong way to go about it.

The words of wisdom would be to create the killer sales copy first, then build the product to the sales letter. And then build a site to properly showcase both. This avoids the newbie tendency to think some gimmick or trick of phrasing is going to make people buy the product.

You mentioned that you set up an e-mail campaign. Surely you have some copy experience then? Sometimes we have more talent than we think we do!

wow... everyone is really really helpful. this is a good way to start my day.. well its 9am here. I'm much more refresh.. i agree, tired person, writes tired sales copy - thank you Dainis, John, Adam, Erin, Ramguda, Loren, Rezbi - for the link.

i think I'll start drafting with several important benefits of the products.

i have also thought about buying the list from magazine to find more targeted market in the next part of promotion.

Dainis - decent source material a copywriter would use and tweak. - i'll work on this. I was also surprise the last time i read a sales page by one *excellent copywriter, even millionaire marketer like ewen chia use his service. If i have the money, i would just buy his service. but thats not happening now.

I'll write on my own... thank You so much friends
