Could this be used to generate copy ideas?

This unusual site really has me going. I've had some great copy ideas reading some of these one-liners. Like this one -

"Not many people would have required stitches after washing the dishes, but then again I've always thought of myself as special."

or this one -

"My mother stopped buying me Barbies when I was a child after she found them hanging by their necks from the stairwell."

how about this? -

"$128 and a shot in the ass later, I stopped being terrified that my swollen eyeball was going to pop out of my head."

This is a storytelling resource I give my students. Absolutely it's a great resource for copywriters. But... generating ideas? I'm not sure.

Concept/copy ideas/storytelling - it's all the same bird in different feathers. BTW it's Creative Commons Non-Commercial license. Which isn't to say you can't take the original line and spin it. Know what I mean Bro?

  Headlines that tell a complete story can be very effective. Here's two that come to mind ...

  And Now Devotes His Life To Helping Others Get Skinny"
  
  "Six Weeks Ago I Had High Blood Pressure...
  A Revolutionary New Device Helped Me Lower It
  From 150/95 to 120/75"
  
  At the very least, the resource could be a great way to get the creative juices flowing.
