Hey, has anyone else here read Martin Lindstrom's book 'Buyology'?
In many ways it's a copywriters dream guide to people's emotional 'hot buttons'.

It's pretty well written, and contains a lot we can apply in our copywriting - well worth picking up:

Buyology Where to Buy by brand consultant Martin Lindstrom

Have you read it?
What did you think?

Cheers,
Nathan

Yes. It's a very interesting book. It even inspired a bullet on my homepage.

Yes I have read it. Not in great detail but remember bits and pieces.
One of the most interesting things they did was dispel (if they are right) some commonly accepted wisdom(s).
E.g. It is suggested that the warning label of cigarettes actually encourages people to smoke and that controversy rather than sex is what really sells.
Cigarette companies are merely being forced to think more creatively on how to market their products.
